Promoting Your Project
  • If your project is still not yet approved it does not yet appear in the public pages. Your project is accessible and all sharing and promotion options are already active once it is approved.

  • There are many ways to promote your project, but first and foremost: be creative! Think of new ways to promote your project. Make the most of what you have at your disposal.

Your first step is to do a good job in developing and presenting your project page and use interesting visuals to illustrate your project and to update your project blog with news on your project. Good content is one of the most valued elements on the internet because it can lead to bonds amongst internet users and enhance the visibility of your project.

Your next step is spreading the word through your own network. Your first supporters will often be people who are close to you, who know how committed you are, and who interact with you personally. Do not hesitate to talk about your project with your family, friends, and colleagues!

When publishing and promoting, do not forget to provide a link to your project page on iFundArts so that internet users whose interest has been piqued by your ideas can become supporters.

  • You can add your project to your own website. You can use the “Support my Project” widget on your website, which includes an image and a brief description of your project.

You can use a mailing option as well.

A blog is a superb promotional tool. If you have a blog or know some bloggers, do not hesitate to tell them about your project. You could get some good feedback or insights from new sources. Social networks provide further opportunities to promote your project to your network of friends and to their friends too.

  • You can use (e-mail) / mailing lists in keeping your contacts up to date about your project. You can insert images, text and links that can help promote your project. But you will need to use an email option with care! An e-mail inbox is a personal space used for communicating with people you are close to. Your contacts will put up with some promotion, but do not overdo it: do not even spam your closest allies!

You can also provide updates through your project page. You have to be the project creator to be able to do so. You can either edit the project page (add pictures, videos etc.) or publish news that will be sent to all your supporters and followers by using the “Updates” tab (which can include text, photo, video) on your project page. In both instances click “Upload” to publish your update. Project updates are directly emailed to backers when the update is posted.

  • People will reach out during the course of the project with questions about your project. These may range from queries on delivery dates to specific technical questions. These inquiries should be answered promptly and, in cases where supporters asking for the same information, publicly with a Project Update. Communication and transparency are vital for your project.
